WHO: Kurama (fox_shuuichi) and Hitachiin Kaoru (poetryinfashion) WHAT: Long-awaited training. WHERE: Paradise Blossoms. Or, rather, the clear lot behind the shop. WHEN: Day 90, dusk.
Kurama saw the change fall over Kaoru's face, saw the realization flash through his eyes. He watched the boy discard of his weapon - though he did not approve of the fashion in which it was done, his eyes narrowing slightly - and gave a slow, shallow nod of approval.
"You have already realized it," he said, his voice soft, but still commanding, "but I will not be Minamino Shuuichi here. You will study under Kurama, and I assure you, it will not be easy. You have heard all this before. I will not pull my strikes, I will not hesitate to do you harm. It will be hard, it will be painful, and if you do not learn quickly, it may well be fatal."
He would assume - though, perhaps, it was wrong of him - that Kaoru had sufficiently limbered before coming here. He knew his purpose. Should he injure himself, Kurama was sure Hakkai could heal him, and it would teach the boy a valuable lesson.
So, he unfolded his arms from behind his back and dropped into a ready stance, knees bent to properly absorb his weight and give him a firm platform to move from, hands held before him - fingers stiff, palms in - one at his chest and one by his face.

"When you are ready, come."
