WHAT: An unexpected reunion calls for a meeting face-to-face.
WHERE: The Harbour.
WHEN: Day 89, afternoon.
This was certainly… confusing.
Giving a loud sigh, Chika made his way out of his recently rented apartment room and into the streets, bending a corner to the harbour. That Shiba of all people would turn up here was probably one of the last things he had expected to happen. And, quite frankly, he wasn’t sure whether he was happy about it or not. Sure, he would love to cross out all the evil memories from his mind, all the things his school friend had done and simply go back to the way they were before, but for once in his life - and death - Chika had to admit that Shito did indeed have a point. It was all far too suspicious.
After all, Shiba had lied to them before. And it had led to a nasty mess. For all he knew this could be the entire thing all over again. However, there was a small part in him that hoped it wasn’t so. The impact of Shiba’s true nature still hadn’t fully fled from his memory and despite feeling bad for thinking so negatively over an old friend; he also knew there was a solid reason to.
And so he made his way to their meeting place, feeling more than a little uneasy. Perhaps he should have asked Shito for his hand. That way he would have at least had a weapon close by. But something had stopped him. Be it shame to admit that he suspected his friend or for being a fool to believe him a second time, Chika didn’t know. But he had left the house unarmed.
In the end, he’d just have to wait, see and hope for the best.
