WHERE: Their room at the Crimson Dragon Inn.
WHEN: Day 72, an hour or so after Peony arrived back at the Inn. So 4-5ish am.
Jade had left Kaito, secure in his belief that he would show up for the meeting later that day, and that they would come to a mutually agreeable compromise that would help him in his long term goals to get Peony back to Auldrant.

Hands in his pockets, Jade took the long way back to the Inn, hoping Peony would be asleep by the time he arrived. It would make everything easier... as he didn't want his friend to confront him. It was worthless, really, as their relationship had always been the same. He would be gone for weeks on the Tartarus, living his own life, but when it counted, he always came back to Peony. Because he was the only one that mattered.
He slowly pushed the door to their room open, trying to make as little noise as possible...
