It was different from the cold cement of the fountain. What was it?
The fire from the mansion? Was he being burned? No, that can't be it.
Anyway...Where was Fuji? He was supposed to save him!
Then he heard it again- Fuji-senpai's voice. Ryoma was sure it was him, or was he really? It could've been his mind playing tricks on him for the second time. After all, the place was a bit hidden from view, even with the fountain. It would be hard to find a (small) boy like him half-sitting, half-lying on the ground behind the fountain.
Then he felt something tighten around his body, but he couldn't quite tell if it was really true because of the pain that never left. What was happening? Was he being covered by something? Buried? Hit?
Now he felt like he was being raised. He was being carried in someone's arms. Finally! Someone came to rescue him? Who was that person?
He weakly tried to open his eyes. A brunette with piercing blue eyes that seemed scared and strong at the same time. Fuji-senpai! Was it really him?
Yes, it was him.
He wasn't being delusional! Fuji did come for him. "Mada mada da ne..." He mumbled to his savior. No, savior wasn't fitting. What word would be more fit to describe him?
A smile broke out on Fuji's face. There, that was more like the old Ryoma. He was going to be fin- "...my prince..."
It wasn't exaggeration to say that Fuji nearly dropped Ryoma then. Echizen was dazed. He was probably hallucinating due to loss of blood. He couldn't just have said - but a part of Fuji wanted to believe he did. Ooh, Ryoma was going to wake up regretting he ever let those words escape his lips.
Fuji didn't take too long to find the clinic. The red cross hadn't been affected by the flames that consumed nearly everything else. "We're at the clinic. It's going to be okay, ...princess."
