Al says he was surprised the gods here are real.

Is this common? Do you people not know your gods? If so, how do you even know they exist? How do you know what they are like or what they want? How do you please them?

From what I could ever see, it's just us back home. Bunch of old festivals and not a god left to enjoy 'em.

Some of us know the big names better than others, actually. And the ones that don't? All it takes to bring 'em outta hiding, it turns out, is widespread calamity. Then poeople'll start picking sides whether they were pastors or high-thinkin' scientists.

There's no such thing as 'God' where we come from. I'd be willing to stretch that to here, too.

It's a little harder to say there aren't any gods and goddesses when they go running around quite as freely as they do here, don't you think?

Yeah, so it's a little more ridiculous running around here saying such things than it was in Reole. Don't tell me you think this place is going to change my opinion, Al.

But there's evidence to prove their existence. Just because they don't exist in our world doesn't mean they can't exist anywhere - the worlds have a tendency to be drastically different.

I knew the names of many worshiped back home, but the only people who claimed to directly interact with those deities were scam artists or zealots with questionable sanity.
