It seems I regained consciousness in the midst of yet another one of this island's illogical phenomena.

Thankfully it's taken until now to get the liquor stains and glass shards out of the carpet. I'm quite content to remain here, inside my home until whatever unearthly rule this place conducts itself by decides to take me back to my proper time ( Read more... )

Do you not eat, or are you relying on someone else to serve you food?

I need very little to sustain myself, and enough leftover money to live comfortably for quite a while.

Is that so? You must have quite the bazaar inside your home if you intend to actually use that money.

Do not patronize me.

I fully intend to leave the house for the bare necessities. I simply do not have any interest in mingling with the general public. I've lost what few contacts I had here, and if the timeline is this erratic, I'd rather not waste my time.

That's a shame! I'm sure you'd be quite the conversationalist.

Care to elaborate on being "pulled back and forth through time and space"?

I've been here long enough to recognize sarcasm, thank you.

In any case, I arrived here nearly two years ago, on this timeline. Here, I met a man who had been killed in action on my timeline. We spent a year here, and suddenly I was pulled back to my own world where no time had passed. That man was still dead there.

I spent four years in that dimension, going about my business as usual, When without warning I was back here, where only a week had passed, and again that dead man was waiting for me.

I honestly don't know how the weaker members of the population don't loose their minds.

Is sarcasm uncommon in your world or is that just a result of hermit-like behaviour?

The time disjoint is quite fascinating; perhaps Rivelata has its own arbitary timeline. Who knows, maybe by the time you go home again, whatever important business you had would have taken care of itself.

I would be pleased if they managed to accomplish everything on their own. However, if time goes on without me, I fear the worst if I am not there to oversee my group's progress.

And I am not a hermit. I wish you'd stop making fun of me.

People are remarkably adaptive when thrust into difficult situations. Unless they're your everyday unfocused, weak-willed person. My, I never knew you thought so little of your group!
