Part Ten [recorded]

It's cold. But this uh...snow, huh? Not bad. Kinda pretty. Never seen it before.

[the soft clink of a spoon tapping against the inside of a glass] It's not bad at all. [her voice lowers] Covers up the ugliness for a little while, don't it?

Thanks for the gloves, Hannike. You're not my favorite, mind you, but maybe you remember this story.

They say, roundabouts when the goddesses Hannike and Cela were the only ones around, they got into a row about how the stars were gonna be placed in the sky. Now, Cela's real organized, understand. Every star she named. Cela wanted them to be neat in the sky, lined up all nice.

Hannike's kinda not like that, from what you all have seen. So she didn't care about the names, wanted the stars scattered all over. Well, they were young and all, fought over the bag of stars, 'til it burst all open in the sky.

Cela was mad as hell, and she's the older of the two, so an asskickin' was pretty much guaranteed. To compromise, Hannike went to each star to kiss them and make them glow, and whispered their names to them as she passed. So that's why all the stars have got names, they say.

Troublemaker, that one.
