Player Information:
Name: Taku
Journal: otaku_attack
Method of Contact: AIM at molotovkittens
Previous characters: None

Character Information:
Full Name: Jun
Series: Pokemon - Diamond and Pearl Adventure! manga
Canon point: End of series
Age: Never stated, appears to be about 15 or 16 at the most. :|a
Species: Human
Appearance/PB: The boy giving the peace sign
Appearance upon arrival: Normal, since everything had settled down by the end of the series. Might seem exhausted though as he was most likely running around looking for Hareta and Mitsumi before they could leave on their "next big adventure" that's vaguely hinted at the end of the last chapter.

History:
Previous RP memories: N/A (Figured it would be too much of a hassle to include memories from the dressing room he was in and that it probably didn't count)
Bringing someone along?: Yes, he'll be bringing along one of his Pokemon. His Dragonite, to be exact. Normally, I would pick his Torterra, since it is his starter Pokemon, but he's usually seen more with Dragonite than his own starter Pokemon. (Then again, he doesn't actually have very many Pokemon to begin with, only four that's seen in the series: Dragonite, Torterra, Staraptor, and Mime Jr.)

Anyway, Dragonite is his main mode of transportation in the series, always flying around on the back of it and is usually seen when engaging in battle and in dangerous situations as well, such as when flying on it to escape from an exploding building or trying to travel to Spear Pillar and later Turnback Cave. It's also safe to consider it as it being Jun's main powerhouse Pokemon due to its high stats and powerful moves it can do such as Hyper Beam and the like. Outside of battle and when not being used for transportation, it seems to be a very friendly Pokemon. It's never stated how he got Dragonite, but it's likely that, since his father Palmer is shown with a Dragonite as well later on, that he might of got it from him.
Character History: Bulbapedia link for series and Bulbapedia link for Jun's profile

The link for his profile isn't entirely accurate though, such as the Pokemon movesets being a little off and that Jun does not seem to have a Golbat as it states, and it's slightly incomplete since it doesn't include his whereabouts after losing to Koya.

To elaborate, after putting a stop to Team Galactic's plans, Hareta and friends got ready to compete in the Sinnoh League tournament. There, they met a kid named Koya who treated them very negatively upon meeting them due to his different viewpoint when it comes to raising Pokemon. Jun went up against Koya in the tournament, but was utterly trashed by Koya's stronger Pokemon. Upon attempting to congratulate Koya for his victory, Jun was instead given some very harsh words about how "people like him don't deserve to have Pokemon and that his Pokemon are unhappy because of him". Naturally Jun felt pretty low about hearing something like that, but Hareta came to his aid and defended him (even if it was vaguely insulting at the same time). However, in the midst of Hareta going up against Koya in the tournament, Team Galactic struck the stadium, attempting to blow it up with a bomb, but thanks to some combined effort from everyone, including Hareta's dad that was in the audience, they managed to prevent the stadium from being blown up.

Afterwards, they run into Jupiter who is on the run from some Team Galactic grunts, learning that she and Mars are looking for Cyrus, who has gone missing. Instead, a man named Charon, who is obsessed with money, has taken over in his place, wanting to catch Giratina to sell on the black market, and has ordered for Jupiter to be captured due to being a traitor. Even though they were previously enemies, Jun helps defend Jupiter from the Galactic grunts that find them, preventing them from capturing her. Afterwards, Jun heads to see the professor and to get some research on Giratina while Hareta, Mitsumi, and then Koya end up getting mixed up with Charon who was trying to awaken Heatran. Once he comes back, he teams up with Mitsumi and the two of them decide to go look for Cyrus at the Galactic Headquarters while Hareta and Koya keep Charon distracted. Soon, Jun tells Mitsumi to go on ahead and that he'll keep the Galactic grunts with their brainwashed Pokemon at bay.

He later joins up with Hareta and Koya and the three of them team up to follow Charon to Turnback Cave to stop him from getting Giratina. However, upon entry, they are hit with an immense fog that blinds them and forces them to land, and upon clearing the fog, they find that they have somehow entered the Distortion World where Giratina lives. After discovering the Galactic members and Hareta's dad unconscious, they quickly meet Giratina, angry from the intrusion of Team Galactic as well as them having knocked a friend (Hareta's dad) unconscious. Thus, Hareta engages it in battle while Jun and Koya watch before joining in themselves, but they are quickly defeated. However, Hareta manages to calm Giratina down some and they are teleported back out of the Distortion World, where Giratina takes on it's Alternate form.

They are about to continue the battle when, to the surprise of everyone, Dialga and Palkia appear to help fight Giratina as well. Mitsumi and the rest of Team Galactic arrive as well to assist, giving Sitrus berries to everyone so that they can continue the fight...to which Hareta gives a Sitrus berry to Giratina too, much to everyone's shock and annoyance. However, Hareta convinces them that you become better friends through Pokemon battles, proven with Giratina's friendliness towards Hareta as it picks the boy up to let ride on its wings, and thus, Jun and his friends team up to battle Giratina and Hareta through a "battle royale" as the series soon comes to a close as some time later Jun watches the Sinnoh League tournament being finished with a battle between Hareta and Koya.

Personality:
Surprisingly, Jun is very different from his other game, anime, or Pokemon Special counterparts. Sure, he is still the main character Hareta's rival and is a friendly and outgoing person to people, as well as being a very determined individual who occasionally brags about his "coolness" or "awesome pokemon". In truth, he acts much more laidback and doesn't always seem to be that much in a hurry or "fining people a million", unless it's something really important, like needing to go fight bad guys and what not. He's also a very smart and well-educated Pokemon trainer, knowing a lot about things like how Pokedexes work and about catching Pokemon, as he teaches Hareta when they first meet. This seems to be due in part to the fact that he is said to do a lot of time doing research for Professor Rowan, also marking a significant difference between his other counterparts as being something like an assistant to the Professor rather than the "best friend that the main character grew up with", and therefore usually serves as a voice of reason...or occasional comic relief, as the case may be.

However, Jun's also shown to be rather intelligent as well in other things, mainly, in things involving legends. He's vastly interested in "the paranormal", and he considers himself something of an investigator of the paranormal, wanting to discover the secrets of the legendary Pokemon from the stories, hence why Professor Rowan usually sends Jun off to do research for him on legendary Pokemon sometimes, like Giratina for example later in the series. His goal in life was to someday meet Dialga, his favorite legendary Pokemon since it could do something as amazing as "controlling time". (And he did in fact get to see Dialga and watch it battle Hareta)

Not to say that doing research is all he is interested in; Jun does collect gym badges as well so that he could enter the Sinnoh League Tournament, and he even entered a contest once. However, while he is great at battling, he kind of really sucks at contests. But he doesn't let that kind of thing get him down...well, not seriously, anyway, since he tends to be rather dramatic and will sigh and whine about things to anyone that will bother listening. Sometimes he is also quick to express disbelief and annoyance at some of the antics that people do around him, such as his eccentric rival Hareta who does really weird stuff all the time, which usually results in him momentarily breaking his "oh so mature facade" to berate or stare at the odd happenstances that occur, but he eventually gets used to it and lets it slide after a while...then again, Hareta is Hareta and will do weirder and weirder stuff, so that's not entirely true...

Every once in a while, Jun does have his moments of serious depression, such as when Jupiter took him as a hostage and forced Mitsumi to come willingly with Team Galactic before leaving him to nearly freeze to death at Lake Acuity--he blamed himself for not being strong enough to protect someone he cared about and left to get some alone time and do some serious training at Iron Island with his mentor, Riley, thus usually responding to serious stress and depression by isolating himself. It's been shown that Jun's biggest worry is being weak and not being a stronger person whether it's in battling or helping people. Usually he doesn't despair when losing and takes it in stride, but every once in a while a loss does get under his skin a little bit, such as when losing to Koya in the Sinnoh League Tournament and being told in response that "people like him didn't even deserve to have Pokemon as friends, let alone battling with". But, thankfully, Jun does usually bounce back to being his happier and determined self soon enough after a little while to mull things over or after hearing encouragement from othrs.

...Oh, there's also one last very significant detail about Jun.

He's a womanizer.

No, seriously. The only thing that seems to distract Jun (other than Hareta's antics) are cute girls. He will not hesitate to comment on how attractive he thinks a girl is, and is not afraid to be very openly friendly and "touchy-feely" around them, such as slinging his arm around their shoulders or even going so far as to practically glomp them, especially if your name happens to be Mitsumi, a girl that he has a huge crush on. And I mean huge, since he's always hanging all over her and constantly asking her out to go on a date with him. Of course, she doesn't put up with his nonsense and he's always getting constantly slugged by her, which he doesn't seem to really mind. Jun's love for her does seem to be genuine though, since he jumps through a lot of hurdles for her and is doing everything he thinks he possibly can to constantly win her approval. He admires her a lot and will defend her honor if anyone tries to slight her good name and tends to be very very possessive of her, even towards his own father when Palmer first met her. (Though, Palmer acts a bit like a perverted lech himself, so that's probably where Jun got that womanizer thing from) Thankfully he does seem to have priorities and seems to know when there is a right and wrong time to be invading a girl's personal space.

All in all, Jun's a pretty strange kid sometimes, but he's still a good person...when he's not throwing himself at Mitsumi anyway. ^^;;

Extra:
Character Abilities: As a Pokemon Trainer, Jun is able to command and battle with creatures called Pokemon that can be used to either fight in battle, participate in contests, modes of transportation, etc.; and is considered a pretty strong trainer in the series. (Even though he sometimes doesn't think he is) He also appears to be in good shape considering how much training he does as well as having great stamina and balance, such as being able to hang onto and fly around on the back of Dragonite and maneuver it even through caves and burning buildings.
Possessions: Other than the clothes off his back, he has a bag that's full of your basic Pokemon items such as potions and poke balls, as well as his badge case and a Pokedex. There's also some food and water, and a white suit tucked deep into his bag that he had used for wearing in a Pokemon Contest once before.
Anything else: Nothing much left I can think of, actually!

And today, today was surely the day that Mitsumi would finally accept him as her boyfriend!

Jun couldn't say for sure how he knew this, but somehow, today just felt like a day that couldn't go wrong, that everything would go in his favor. Today was his lucky day, he told himself.

Maybe he just felt more confident and relaxed than usual, considering that they didn't have to worry about things like Team Galactic or oddities like "reverse worlds" anymore, thanks to their efforts in being able to calm the raging Giratina. Sure, that made things a little stale now that there wasn't something life-threatening or exciting going on, but one could always appreciate the quiet days, right?

So that day, when he headed towards Twinleaf Town, smile fixed in place for when he would greet Hareta and Mitsumi, it didn't take very long before he soon heard familiar voices coming from his left. Sounded like one person talking excitedly and another arguing with them, saying something that suspiciously sounded like "put your clothes back on, Hareta!"

Yep, that would be them...just another typical day for Hareta, huh... Jun frowned slightly as he peered out from behind a tree closeby, being sure to look anywhere but at the nude Hareta's antics before spotting a familiar back to him, green ponytail moving softly in the wind. Ah Mitsumi, you look as beautiful as always, even when you have your back to me...

Which was often, but he didn't dwell on that aspect for long, instead he stepped out from the tree and approached her from behind, sliding an arm unabashedly around her shoulders despite her gasp of surprise as he grinned.

"Morning Mitsumi, you're looking quite lovely tod--"

Smack!

...Well, Jun didn't have to be a psychic to have seen that coming, as he didn't even bother dodging or ducking as her fist collided with the side of his face, leaving an angry red welt as he was knocked to the floor. He didn't hear Mitsumi's angry retort or Hareta's energetic hello at seeing his rival again, oblivious to Jun's usual abuse at the hands of Mitsumi. Instead, he just sighed, rubbing at his cheek.

Looks like it really was just another ordinary day for him.
