Guess who's back? That's right! Ritz has just returned from New York! And I had the best time ever!
So as I said in my previous entry, I was supposed to leave Thursday afternoon. But due to weather, the flight was cancelled. I was disappointed, but not TOO disappointed because my family flies standby, so we often don't get on the flights we want. 'If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere, it's up to you, New York,' takes on a new meaning with my family. ANYWAY, we woke up early Friday and were in New York before noon. We went shopping on Canal Street, and I got a watch and two dresses. The weather was still horrendous, but we couldn't check into the hotel before three. We also took a week in Central Park which was right by our hotel. When we finally got back to the hotel, we just slept and watched television, because we had tickets for an Off-Broadway show called My First Time and then at midnight... ROCKY HORROR! ROCKY ROCKY RAH RAH RAH!
My First Time was cool, but Rocky was even more awesome! It was like I pictured them to be in the seventies, when it was new and exciting, as opposed to the once-a-year things we do in Montreal. I felt kind of bad for my family, because my dad fell asleep halfway through and it obviously wasn't my brother's cup of tea. But whatever.
Anyway, the next day we saw the matinee of Spamalot, which was extremely funny!
Oh, crap, got to go, and I haven't even covered my Rent experience which is definitely the best part of the trip, if not my life. Tell you later
