I need to replace my truck's windshield--OK, it's been cracked for a long time, but the cracks don't cross my field of vision so I've been really lax about doing anything about it. • Rats in the Haggis had a super-geeky but well-paying gig as the entertainment for the Saturday night party at Hobbitcon the Vacaville Middle Earth Festival.

• I watched my friends make fools of themselves in silly shiney clothes and glitter makeup with ukeleles (and helped with clothing and making some of them up.)

So... I'm finally the owner of a brand new shiny 2004 Toyota Tacoma extracab pickup. Yay! I'm buying a new truck. No, I'm not going out and getting a new-to-me used truck, I'm buying a brand new, 2004, the-dealer-has-to-order-it-from-the-factory, 0 miles on it, brand-spankin'-new truck.
