OK, more people can go dancing on Friday night, so Friday it is!

The plan is to go to swing dancing at Midtown Stomp at the Eastern Star Ballroom in Downtown Sacramento on Friday April 11th. I'd love to get some idea of who might come (leave me a comment, if you don't mind), but please feel free to just show up and surprise me, too! :)

So, tomorrow I turn 35. Whee-- now I can't even fudge it and say I'm in my early 30s-- oh, no, it's definitely mid 30s now! Ha ha.

I think maybe a I pulled a muscle in my right calf while dancing in one of Siamsa's shows on Saturday. I thought it was just a persistent cramp yesterday, but it still hurts today. I'm going to dance class tonight anyway, though ( Read more... )

I had to go to the mall tonight. I know, I know. I had a return to make from the most recent show we opened at work, though, and if I wanted to get my money back I had to suck it up and go to the mall. Feis this evening-- I just wasn't feeling competitive, for some reason, and it showed in my dancing. I did all my steps well enough, but there was no spark, no energy to my performance. Sadly for me, the competition was stiff. There were some really excellent dancers, so I didn't place particularly well. Meh. At least I didn't screw any steps ( Read more... )
