(no subject)
undefeated... St. Paul's A's are unbeaten in the regular season with a 11-8 victory last nite. With the number one seed locked up for the playoffs, the coach went with all the backup players, BUT i still had to start in right center cuz the SS wasn't playing well the last game (and today) so the coach wanted him to play more to try to snap out of the slump. almost backfired on him when he made a series of errors that led to a 5 run inning for the other team to pull within 9-8. the "starters" all were on the field in the beginning of the 5th inning, which is when the other team started their comeback... it wasn't pretty. too many errors by our team. i was on the bench for it too, wishing i was in the field at SS.
anyway, I went 1 for 2, single and BB. scored the first run of the game as well. i was replaced by another outfielder, though I do not know if i'm considered a starter or a backup... we'll find out at the first playoff game, TBD. I made a nice catch in right center, and goofed a little on another low drive that skipped the wrong way on me. i was the only one ripping myself for it, so it probably didn't look that bad.
warmups was awesome though, i stayed at SS and was snaggin everything that came my way. one bad throw to first, but the rest were true. Ryann came out to watch the game :-D she enjoyed it, i think. when i saw her on the bleachers, i kinda goofed off even more during the warmups, and was havin so much fun. juggling two balls in your hands while fielding a grounder is lots of fun hehe
i just wish the coach would consider me more seriously to play at short, esp with the troubles that the regular man is havin out there... and esp since that the next game will likely be my last game of the year unless i can get a game or two in with the rochester baird road pub team.
ryann and i went to the burlington mall for dinner and a little shopping, both of us got a new outfit for the party on friday... i seriously cannot wait for it, it should be so much fun!
oh that reminds me i need to find out if i have monday off or not... hmm better find the boss!
