well, I spent a large part of the day attending to cars that would not start because the lights stayed on all night or which died on the freeway because someone who is not me did not put gas in them. Also, totally took the dog for a walk at Antonelli's Pond with my friend Patricia and her old dog Ruby that Truffle has known for years and years. Yesterday when we were at Moore Creek we saw Ruby and her other person Michael and Truffle was very happy to see them, and sniffed Ruby and Michael and then went looking for Patricia and their other dog.

writing anxiety of the day: oh my dog is this conversation for real? Does anybody care about this but me? How long does this conversation ahve to be anyway?

further writing anxiety: should I really be having this elderly scientist feeding this boy? Shouldn't she be too busy sciencing to mother him? No, I decided, if a male scientist can be nurturing and protective to a young person that blunders into his life, so can a female scientist.
