My hamster wheel

Dec 10, 2011 02:36

It takes me too long to do things. It took me three weeks to get a bicycle stand and set it up, and another week to figure out how to get on the bike, which is not too tall to ride normally, but the stand raises it another half a foot off the ground. Now I can't ride it for long because the seat is too narrow for me. However --

It's past two o'clock in the morning and the pain meds I took at 11:30 wore off almost half an hour ago. I tried to go back to sleep but that doesn't work with this, so I got up, my eyes still mostly closed, and shuffled on the pair of thongs I keep next to the bike, and do the only thing that actually makes my knee feel better even for moment. Squeak, squeak, round nd round and round.

If I could do it all night I'd probably be lot better off . . . but the reality is that until I get a wide seat (tomorrow, I mean today!) I can't do it for more than a couple of minutes. Also I have to dig out the right size hex wrench and raise the handlebars as far as they will go.

Crap, it's back again, I have to go run my wheel.
