So far today I have finally landed a job interview. It is for General Office Support at a small communications company that is a relatively short commute. I looked at their website and they are small and relaxed looking. I know that no office job is ever "relaxing" but they have a photo of the office staff they all wore jeans and they had genuine looking smiles on their faces. It is direct hire, not temp-to-hire which I love! So far so good. Please think good thoughts on Monday at 9am Central Time.
I have lilies blooming in my backyard. The previous owner must have been really into them because I have 4 different ones. Only one has bloomed so far, but the rest look healthy. Some of the irises have bloomed and faded, the rest don't show any sign of blooms yet. I have one rose that survived the winter under my clumsy care and it has already bloomed once.
I have one potted tomato. I finally found a yellow pear tomato already started at Lowes so I got that and replanted it in a pot. I also got some lavender and rosemary in the ground. I have a tendancy to kill rosemary, so we will just have to see what happens here. I also bought a bunch of herbs for the kitchen and have yet to re-pot them. They will go in small pots on my kitchen ledge in a south facing window. I have some pewter looking pots they will go into, looking fabulous.
Now we just have to make sure that the countertops get put in correctly next week.
I didn't rant about this on Tuesday when it happened because my blood was just boiling, but they messed up my counters again. I got the original counters installed and refused to sign off on the installation because of the crappy job they did and because there was a hairline crack across two pieces of laminate. They promised a replacement in about 10 days. That didn't happen so I started calling them and harassing them. I finally got ahold of the owner after 3 phone calls and he scheduled it for the next day. They came out to replace the old ones with the crack and in the process tore a chunk out of an undamaged one. I ranted until they promised me all new countertops including removing and re-installing my sink and dishwasher. Every single installation for my new kitchen has been fixed or re-done at least once. The cabinets were repaired twice.
Sorry, I really wasn't planning a rant.
Last but not least I have all the pictures that I need for my next pattern to go up on etsy. It should be up there before I go to bed tonight. I think. The pattern is written but I still need to get the pattern and layout into word, make the PDF, and upload. I think I can do that in a couple of hours.
