I couldn't resist showing off, since it is essentially completed. The current size is 45" wide and 24" long and will make a very nice shoulder wrap. Next time I go out shopping I am going to look for a brooch that will make a nice closure. I don't anticipate it "growing" much with blocking since it is really densely knit.
I guess one thing that is missing in my skill set is the ability to determine how much yarn will make how much garment. Expecially with handsun, which in this case is very thick and thin, due to the textured nature of the batts. I really thought that I would have gotten a bigger shawl out of this quantity of yarn.
