Well, I went to Atlanta this week from Tuesday to Thursday. I taught a glass workshop to a woman who flew in from North Freaking Dakota! They come from far and wide, I guess. It was a nice workshop, we made lots of beads and I pulled a ton of molten glass cane. I went out to eat at a great little Thai/Japanese place for sushi and had a bento box. Then we hung out in the Hot Tub at my friends house. Woohoo! Too bad I had to wear my swimsuit. Air kept getting trapped in my top and made my breasts look gigantic. Then every couple of minutes it would get to full of air and release with a load fizzing noise. The next night I ate at Portabella's in Alpharetta. The food was good. Service sucked! Lots of rich soccer moms next to us! The 12 mile 1 1/2 hour drive kind of sucked too! Note to self, never move to Atlanta suburbs. I don't think that will ever be an issue. On the positive side 5 hours a day of work, $500, and my travel paid isn't such a bad job. So I'll quit whining.
I got back in lastnight. My house was a wreck!!!!!! I mean a fucking wreck!!!!! My sister and I work opposite hours and I'm always out of town teaching, so it never gets cleaned consistently. This will have to change starting today. So today I am cleaning.
Lastnight was awesome. I went to see the "Rocket Scientists" It was alot of fun and tons of nice people were there. Once again I was by myself, but people came up and talked to me every once in awhile. Played really bad pool with Lori, Hunter, and some guy who's name I was too drunk to remember. It's really weird being out there alone again. It's been awhile. Talked to Brian a little bit. I feel like I'm the weird chic that's always alone and maybe I look creepy to other people because I never come with anybody. Like those weird barfly's that sit in the same seat for years. Wow! I just had a "Mickey Rourke" moment. As long as I don't become a barfly girlfriend i guess I'll be okay. Anyway onto the list
Yesterday, drove approx. 250 miles from Atlanta via Chattanooga
Drank 7 pints of black and tan
Added the following people to my Huntsville collection:
Lori cool chic from the CVS photo developer
jason some random guy that used the "Do I know you"? line. Is that even legal anymore? I mean pick up laws.
Brian from the Black Roots Ensemble
Jay from Sunburst
Jason from 6th grade
Hunter some kid out of a Guy Ritchie film, I swear he reminded me of Turkish's lackey. Sweet kid though. Stressed about breaking up with his girlfriend. I said enough of that.
Then I drove home and went straight to bed. I was exhausted.
So what did you guys do this week?
