Thursday I had a busy day. I wanted to wake up early and I did, but I had to go back to bed and didn't get up until about 8:45. I got ready quickly and went to pottery. The three things I had worked on two weeks ago were wrapped so well that they didn't dry sufficiently for me to finish so I had to leave them. I started new things and made two pots--somewhat larger than the ones I had made before.

I got cleaned up and drove home to have lunch before my dentist appointment. Actually the process of fitting on and cementing in the new crown took a short time. I drove home and got myself outside to put away some of the rocks that I had dislodged in order to make the wall near the fence. It was tedious, but I succeeded in finding medium sized rocks to put over the cubes. I also redid the little rock wall around the laurel using some of the bricks from the area near the fence. I threw some of the rocks from the sand pile into the trough between our flowers and the fence near Rita's yard. I still have to cover them.

Then I came in, exhausted. I showered and spent some time getting ready to go out to meet with Darryl and friends in honor of her birthday. I was going to procrastinate about showering and getting dressed, but Nadav urged me to shower first so that my muscles wouldn't tighten up. I did, and he was right, I felt much better. I had plenty of time before I had to leave so I could get dressed in a leisurely fashion. It felt good to be able to get dressed and still have time for some eye make-up and choosing jewelry--without having to rush at the last minute. I'm trying to focus on the advantages of getting ready early.

Darryl's "party" was lovely. About 15 women met at Daiko, most of whom I knew from shul. We all talked and ate and sang happy birthday and had a lovely time. She is one smart lady.

This morning, I woke up a little tired, and having been moving slowly all day. I had breakfast and read yesterday's paper and finished the puzzles. I clipped the comics, and didn't even open today's papers. Then I went up and turned on the computer, planning to watch Unforgettable while I put away some of the books that had piled up on the bureau. Then Judy R came by for a brief visit and a hug. As I was returning from seeing her, I heard my computer calling me on Skype. It was Amira with great news that she spoke to the oncologist. She doesn't need any radiation or chemotherapy!!!! Just a pill once a day for 5 years. And then she showed me her latest creations. The are really getting better and better. I wish that she had where to sell them. Before I was done, Nadav returned from food shopping. So when I finished talking to Amira, I went down to see Nadav and I put away the fruit and vegetables he bought.

Then I came back up here, put away the books and finished watching the show. And here I am.
