Decisions decisions... what to wear to court

Rita-Anne had her best clothing spread out, and eyed each piece critically, trying to decide which would give the best first impression of her at Court. It had to be practical, tell a bit about her, spark interest, help her to be taken seriously, and dazzle.

"Not too difficult to do," she muttered to herself.

She rejected her "Adventuring Outfit" out of hand. Kakie pants and dust-coloured long-sleved shirts paired with a fedora might be fine for tromping through the woods or desert, but not for a court function. And the tradition-born fey wouldn't agree with her wearing a suit (which had, of all things, pants!), so her two suits and fake tux were out. Not to mention those tended to made her look more boy-ish than girl-ish...

The black kimono made of silk and embroidered with silver kiran (a unicorn with the body of a scaled deer, with the mane of a lion, the tail of an ox, the hooves of a horse, and a curved horn) was beautiful, but sometimes difficult to move in. None the less, it did show off her house colours, was comfortable, may spark some interest in her, and, when worn with her hip-box, it helped to identify her as someone skilled in divisionary magic. And she looked good in it.

Then, there was the red dress that matched her hair perfectly (well, her mortal seeming's hair at any rate,) and clung to her body like a second skin. It would get her attention, but probably not the kind she needed. Although, if Cillian saw me in this... Rita-Anne smiled and promised herself that she'd show up to his place in that dress one day.

Her blue sapheron was light, easy to move in, and exotic enough to (hopefully) spark some interest. She also looked good in it, but not as good as the red dress.

Finally, there was...

Rita-Anne smiled. How could I wear anything but this? she asked herself. Oh, I'll bring something extra, just in case, but...

Satisfied with her choice, Rita-Anne went to work on getting her hair in order.
