I really took my time to read this which I rarely do to other internet articles.
While I am a Sone, I'm not one of those fanatic looneys (?), that go around disrespecting other groups and going 'ZOMG! SNSD BEST, EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKS!'
I also realise that it's been more than a year since this article was posted up.
No, I'm not a newbie Sone who was searching up everything he could find on the internet about SoShi.
Introductions done, let's get on topic.
I wish alot of people would stop bashing on SoShi for what their FANS (keyword here) do. It's like blaming your siblings for not taking care of you when you fall down.
If you dislike the group, don't waste precious world resources and energy and time hating them. It's actually healthier and more beneficial to society to spend time liking another group.
I also realise that there are some things that certain SoShi members did that were wrong or outright rude. Please take into consideration that they were newbies when it happened. Also, some things have been blown out of proportion. Respect is indeed important in Asian culture (I'm an asian myself) but it's kinda ridiculous to call someone you know and is friends with, formally. It's like calling your mother, madam or your father, sir. If you have to call people you know and are friends with, formally, then you aren't friends at all.
I've come across lots of anti videos going on how they can't sing and dance.
They point out mistakes in their dances they make and say they can't dance. Oh come on, which other group has never made any mistakes in any of their past performances before? And again, take into consideration, they made the most mistakes while they were still newbies and debuting.
Then there's the one where they say that SNSD only garners fans through their short skirts and pants and that their fans are all perverted people.
Again, seriously people. There are tons of other girl groups out there that wore revealing clothing. Are you saying that they too garner fans from the way they dress?
You might say that the other groups are more talented than SoShi and that SoShi is untalented but you that is YOUR OWN opinion. If SoShi was that untalented, they wouldn't have sold so many albums. And again, don't say that it's because they wear short skirts and pants. It's preposterous to think that even 10% of their fans are only interested in their looks alone. Taking appearances into account is the norm. Every fan has probably a certain section for how good their idols look. But there's only a tiny percentage of people that take only appearances into account and even then, every group has that tiny percentage as well. I know I'm going off topic and that I shouldn't even have typed that out or I should've created my own blog and posted it there or something and for that, a thousand apologies to Rita. I just thought that certain things have to be said.
Think of the Jaebom incident. Personally, I think he was a great guy, very outgoing and charming. (No, I am not gay.) Who caused that? Anti-fans. To all those anti-fans out there, is this what you're trying to cause? To ruin the lives of people you don't even know personally? Did their great great great grandfather murder your great great great grandfather?
Go ask your parents if they'd rather you devote your time to loving or hating. While some things are inexcusable, some things are blown way out of proportion. You don't encourage people to become better by knocking them down over and over again. Some have the strength to get back up but some dont. Sooner or later, everybody will stay down at some point.
I actually think you're worse than the looney Sones or SoShi itself or anything else for that matter. I mean, even psycho murderers are psycho. But you're perfectly normal.
