yay back to back vacay...
The great trip to Utah was wonderful. Not only did Scott eat food and not starve (which was our main concern with my nearly carnivorous family out there) but he had a lovely time and ate well and they even tried his chic'n and thought it was pretty tasty.
we went on a little hike up to a waterfall that made me wish I'd never stopped going to the gym, wooey am I out of shape. It was beautiful and a fun little excursion though - I only wish we'd been able to do more fun little excursions. we DID spend a lot of time in the pool or lying around by the pool, which was amazing. and we DID take a twinny trip to the verizon store to get new phones, so that was good. the weather was a little cooler than imagined, but I am NOT going to complain about that. there were crazy winds all day thursday, and they blew wildfires all over the state and twinny and ian flew into a terrible landing and a fire on the runway (from the wildfires) - yuck. the dry heat was incredible and scott and I both couldn't believe the humidity when we got back to our apartment at 12:30 am monday night/tuesday morning. yuck.
I went to the eye doctor and then frame shopping at a cute little shop in JP yesterday and will have new glasses (!!!) for the first time since 2004 at the beginning of next week. fun.
I've been completely useless at work this week - a problem, I know, but I can't think of what I should be doing even though I *know* there are things! and today I am headed home to maine to spend a long weekend with mommy and child sister and friends from maine/home. Hooray.
just a few more hours of work...well, of "work".
