where did January go!?!
all of the sudden it's the end of january, and I'm wondering - what happened to it all!?!
it's been mostly pretty busy...
*My mom, child sister, and the dogs drove down from maine in a blizzard, so that we might drive to philadelphia - not in a blizzard, but we did sit in traffic FOR HOURS in NYC, duh - to have Christmas at my sisters. it was a great time, albeit a little awkward...my dad spent much of the time incredibly drunk and on the phone with his new girlfriend/family.
*the week after xmas was spent mostly lounging at home, waiting on phone calls/activity. Mom and child sister scooted back to maine on the 29th, Becca was in town, I spent some time with Em before she went back to school, Giovanna came and had a visit with me and we went and played with Hannah and saw Mike Scace and Jenny and had too much fun!
*Scott, Eric and I went to first night, and ran into Kate Skog and Abe, of all people, on the corner. they were dancing around with free hug signs, an obvious way to attract an earlhamite to them...too funny!
*School started back up on the 5th, choir started back up again on the 13th.
*I'm in my third week of yoga classes and going to the gym after work a few evenings a week, which is nice. It really fills the time, I wish I could say it was making me feel great, but I've sort of got some serious winter depression/SAD going on, so mostly it just makes me even more tired and more likely to cry when I mistakenly get on the wrong bus on my way home...but I can't even imagine how awful I'd feel if I *wasn't* doing it, so that's good! always tryin' to stay positive...
*Scott and I took the train to see my sister in Philadelphia for MLK weekend, which was awesome. Lots of wii and games were played by all, and yummy food. and also, fruity pebbles. mmm.
*there was much celebration around the 20th - out with the old, and in with NEW! HOORAY!
I'm looking ahead to our next long weekend (presidents day weekend) and even further to a possible trip out to Andrew and Lizzy in Portland, OR for my march break...and also, more short sightedly, looking ahead to friday tomorrow. thank god! Work is steady, not too busy not too slow, but drags on and on every day! A slightly negative influence on my life here at Fancy All Girl's school has made the last few weeks harder, but I'm working towards putting that influence behind me since I feel like I'm in a great place, with a great job, and even greater than a great job is the ability to leave it at four and go and have a life...
now if I could JUST FIND A LIFE...oy!
