recently I've finished my spanish thesis. which ROCKS. and fallen behind in my classes in hte mean time, which doesnt ROCK. but, I'll catch up, there arent THAT many classes.

soon its midsemester break - which is awesome, because andrew and I and maybe camden are going to alfred new york to see my siiisstteerrr. woo. but before that, is camden's senior project. oh gracious. I hope that it comes together, and I think that it will. I'm excited that rattail will be visiting one last time before graduation. but it seems like there is a lot of work between how far along hte show is now, and where it will need to be soon.

I also auditioned for a solo in my choir this last week, and find out about that before midsem break, and then the concert is like RIGHT after midsem break...we're singing all kinds of really funny fluffly poppy songs for this concert, and the solo I auditioned for is in seasons of love from rent. I'll be terrified and DELIGHTED if it I get it.
we're also singing breakaway - for all you kelly clarkson fans out there...and some country song that makes me wallow in my pathetic singleness everytime we sing it.

other than that, life here is good, if not a little on the frigid side. I am thinking about buying a hermit crab as a prize for completion of my both my senior projects. they have real cute teeny tiny ones at the pet store here. I know that the last time I invested the five bucks in a hermit crab, it ended up being way more than that, but this time I think I coudl probably set up right hte first time and save myself a lot of money. and trouble. or maybe I'll just not buy one. *sigh*
camden is sick, and when he is sick he is needy and demanding and endearing and irritating all at the same time. I am trying not to strangle him...AS WE SPEAK.

the other day when I was reading that article, the one about lesibians in my author's works, there was a part that made me laugh and think about emily. it talked about "boston marriages" (Boston marriage was a term used in the 19th century for households where two women lived together, independent of any male support. Whether these were lesbian relationships - in the sexual sense - is debated. The likelihood is that some were and some were not. Today, the term is sometimes used when referring to two women living together who are not in a sexual relationship. Such a relationship may have intimacy and commitment, without passion., thanks wiki) - and I was like, oh shit, they knew emily when they named them that, DIDNT THEY!?! so, with further research, i found they were also called "Wellesley marriages" which is EVEN FUNNIER because emily went to traumtic (relationship wise) all girls school in Wellesley! *sigh* at least I was amused. and the (platonic) love of my life agreed to be my boston wife. and abby did too, agreeing that she would also move to boston with me after college. em and I also agreed that I was allowed to have sexual relationships outside our marriage too. with abby. if I wanted (hehe) or with other people.

and then I got to thinking...nevermind. that's just too much for one journal entry. maybe some other time.
hope all is well elsewhere.

the (platonic) love of my life, life, thesis, boston marraige, homework
