recipe for the BEST NIGHT OF THE SUMMER

Aug 09, 2005 01:51

5 friends (lauren, kat, chuck-o, and ethan)
1 drive to bahhabah
combine with nine pm dinner reservations at Havana, owned by mike boland who know runs mamas boy
add two bottles of amazing wine,
the best meal of your life (including all kinds of free little tappas sorts of dealys, fresh salads, great sea food, yummy flan....oh, heeeaaveeeen)
and top off with employee discounts ALL around (even for the non employees AND recently quit/fired employees)

results in the most non lame/best night of the summer. for serious.

it was totally a ball.
and about the best thing ever after a week and half straight of three meals a day at the downeast deli. mm mm mm fancy cuban food. good service. fancy fancy.
PLUS we ran into mike later at rup's and he offered us night caps (which we politely refused, as we were driving home shortly) and told us to go check out karyoke - which we did, but promptly left. he's so nice!

*yawns*
now I will go and have the BEST SLEEP EVER. I'm jealous of ethanbecause he got home so much earlier than us, because he lives farther from us, closer to ellsworth. he also doesnt have to get up at the asscrack (ha, its hardly the asscrack) of dawn like me and work till FOREVER in the greasepit. they love me at the deli though, and really, I love them - even if the work is psuedo mindless gross out grease and heat sort of work. its good to know that people love and appreciate you for something, even if its your ablity to work insane hours for no pay doing a job that makes everyone go BLAH.

tonight was nice, and I got to hang back not think about camden, mexico, school or anything unpleasant.
and my room is nice and cool to sleep in.

daily, work, lists
