(no subject)
Hmm, Tuesday night I went to Media's to do the jogging thing again, Drew said he wanted to as well, so I was looking forward to it... Got there, waited a little while, when Drew got there we all kinda decided no one was up for jogging. We just sat around and talked for a little while, Media banged on his synth ^_^ he really has a talent for it.
We split around midnight, Media and I started to plan our Wednesday night adventure, since we both don't work Thursdays, and both like going downtown and drinking ^_^ But it was great cause Drew said he would like to go as well! Fast forward to 8pm last night, I just got off work, had a rather bad day, everything seemed to be turning against me, I called every store in: Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, trying to find this woman a "Simpson's Monopoly" set. Well I finally found her one, and the store said they would ship it to our store... But, when it arrived it was the wrong one. I was fucking livid, I could not believe the gross incompetence of that Barnes and Noble staff, so I called and bitched them out for a while, and they tried to find the copy that their inventory says they have... No dice. So I keep calling, until my shift ends then I just give up ;_; I'm going to call the woman and try to see if there is anything else I could do for her, but I'm sure she'll be kinda upset since I told her she has one on the way. Aside from that, I lost my cell phone somewhere in the store... I searched for a couple hours, finally I went into the receiving room to just grab special orders, and there it was, they told me I set it down back there, but neglected to tell me >.< Oh well. Then finally, I had to deal with our newest, and most untrained staff. When it becomes busy, I start going into "work mode." I'm generally very efficient, so everything becomes quick and precise short answers. So, basically I prolly came off as a jerk helping all the new people keep their shit together.
Bleh, anyway, by the time my shift was over, I was realllly looking forward to some drinks. Media called me 45min before my shift was going to end, and told me Drew was still looking forward to going, and he should be off work soon... So after I get off, I run home, grab a quick shower, run over to Media's, got there just at 9... He calls Drew twice, leaves a voice message, and we leave finally around 1130... Media's new roomie George, asks if we could stop by on our way out to get him some Jack Daniels, no problem, it's on the way... we spent some time at his place drinking the Jack, and then he decides to come with us... He was a really interesting person, but he was only 20, so it kinda sucked for him that he couldnt drink when we got there.
Ran into a few people from work I knew, no biggie... But, the buzz kill was-no Drew ;_; I don't take it personally, and Media says I just need to be honest with him.
But anyway, kinda ironically, going to see Casanova screening tonight... With Mach ^_^
All-in-all the past couple days have been great, I just keep beating myself up for no reason.
