Snowdrops
Dear Granddad,
Spring has come early this year. I went for a walk along the waterfront in New Westminster a couple of weeks ago, and the flowers were already starting to bloom! Snowdrops, crocuses, rhododendrons.. all your favourites.
There were even a few delicate roses brave enough to open up despite the chilly wind from the water. It was a beautiful day, you would have really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately, the beautiful weather hasn't held and we're back to the usual Vancouver rain. There's snow on the North Shore mountains, though, and it looks wonderful. Katrin and I went up to Cypress for a snow shoeing trip last weekend, but that's a story for another letter!
I hope you're doing well, and I'll write again. I miss you.
Love,
Larissa
