"baby" kitteh
just wanted to do an update post on baby kitteh (Shmuc7ktus as chris calls her. the 7 is silent, sasha hill weaselteets as i have taken to calling her. the "hill" is silent there. get it? silent hill?!? HA!)
she got to go to the vet today, had her shots and got some blood/urine/poo taken for testing which chris took to work to test (he can do it for free. the vet clinic does idexx but we would have to pay what they would have to pay.)Chris is currently running the tests and we are going to get the results back to dr. waterman asaop. hopefully they are all negative. the vet says she is otherwise healthy (except for being a bit hungry and fleas which inspired chris to start calling her shmuc7ktus flea-isha).i gave her over the counter flea meds (zodiac which was reccomended by several workers at petsmart.. frontline needed to be through the vet which was a day and a half later) and the vet gave us a pill for her that would kill 90+% of the fleas within 30 mins and continue working.and work it did! now i just have to comb/pick out dead fleas from baby kitteh's fur (and shes long haired so that will be interesting) I found out the ear clipping is most likely a result of a feral cat group that brings them in, spays/neuters them, vaccinates them and releases them back into the wild. her torn eye lid is an old injury as well and is well healed and comfrotable (seemingly) so no problems there. i have posted her on craig list (thanks to natalie's inspirational horror story)and hopefully we can get her back to her family(if she has one). if not, i'm pretty sure steph(friend) or connie (friend/neighbor) will take her. there are pics on facebook if anyone is interested. and omg she is such a sweetie! love love love!

EDIT: All tests came back clean and fine. she is healthy, with the exception of her sodium being 159 (max is 156) but that could be because of gorging on commercial food the past 2 days when she hasnt had a steady food for a while. 100% clean and healthy!!!!
