as i sit here typing, there is a small gray "shark" sitting in my lap. little miss maggie has become so friendly as of late, mostly, methinks, because of her switch from amitryptaline (sp?) to buspar. yeah. tuna flavored buspar is more expensive and is given twice a day but it apparenlyt tastes better. i did however have a panic attack when i tried to dose her before leaving and it went in clear and she spit it back out mized with blood. after panicing, i found out she had somehow eated a small shard of the food bowl that broke the other day (partially my fault, mostly chris's...he broke it and decided to keep it there. i asked him to change it and didnt check before we left, forgot when we came back 4 days later) so after much panicing, i got the shard removed, and now she is to eat only wet food for a few days so the dry kibble doesnt tear her up more. still, theres nothing like your kitten spitting out blood when on a new med to make you panic like hell....
other news, my bruises are almost gone from my last failure of my knee to work like an actual knee. it gave way halfway down the cement stairs on thanksgiving and i lost a pie. its weird, one landed perfectly unharmed, the other, the dish shattered, so i chucked it thinking no one wanted the extra texture. the bruises are almost gone (two weeks later, i still have some left and i am wrapping my knee if i am walking more than a few blocks at a time and taking it easy.i thought i would have to have fluid taken out but not so. the cold wet feeling has disappated. for now. but its super ultra mega fun when i wake up and my knee gives out because its cold as balls and arthritic.
chris and i recently took a trip to pittsburgh which was fucking amazing. got to see a lot of people i dont get to see often. especially carly poffizzle. we stayed with teh tony willoe but i would have loved to have had extra time with the poffizzle.
went to ohio in the same trip, saw jason and pete saw chris's first roomie get hitched, met eileen, ordered pizza at 3 am and chased it with boxed sangria (not as bad as it sounds)
we also got up to the natural history museum in the pgh, saw some amazingly huge dinos and to the conservatory to see a little chihuly (love and dinosaurs) ate at some terrif places and got the tony special at his pizza shop. sadly we missed snow.
on my way out of the house this morning in my panic and rush however, i did notice these little white things falling from the sky. more sleet than snow but they stuck to the road of my complex none the less. all in all i have decided to move up north when i graduate (my long-standing goal), not panic about all my papers due soon, maggie will be fine, puddy will remain a fat loveable bastard and my knee will recover ( i just may need to develop mega upper body strength to drag myself up steps via the hand rails and i eventually get back to my physical therapy)
all in all, i have far too much going on and yet not enough. my hours have been cut due to my transfer, i've picked up eden again, its the last week of class and everything is due monday, everyone wants to come to charlotte and expects me to be there over christmas (which i wont be, sorry... working until 5on christmas eve and the 26th is chris's birthday)
so now i guess i will get started on these papers now that my lap is empty (sad).
by the way, joe cocker and victor wooten are the man (men?)
