So I got woken up this morning around 5:37 to my house shaking. Initially I was pretty freaked, and at first thought it was a tornado. I hopped out of bed and looked out the window, and there were no tornado conditions. Turns out it was an earthquake tremor. Apparently a 5.4 hit originally in
western Illinois and spread out quite a bit across the midwest. I'm not sure where all of you are located in the country here, but I hope
Kristin and all the rest of you are okay and not too disoriented. This isn't California, and I know the rest of us aren't remotely used to the ground moving like that unless a big truck rolls by or a tornado is a comin'.
edit: The USGS are now saying it was a 5.2, not 5.4 as originally thought.
