Edmonton with Janell
in Edmonton in the light rain- heading out to the farm today. The kind dutch woman who ran the B and B gave us a warm goodbye yesterday morning, calling down the stairs to Janell "good luck meeting your father in law!" which made both of us open our eyes kinda wide. Its sort of true. but its still strange to hear someone else say it.
Janell meets Dad today.
We arrived in Edmonton at 1 am last night, which made the city seem even bigger and quieter then normal. I pointed out the car window as we went over the bridge "thats the river valley, its beautiful" and Janell said she would believe it when she could see it, otherwise she was assuming it was still just bad ass prairie.
Mission for the day: recover DVDs and books from the library, buy groceries to eat for the next week, have tea with Elaine, drive out to the farm.
