Two things I ought to mention:
A) Happy belated birthday,
zombres!
You, my dear, are one of the funniest, brightest, and generally AWESOME people I have the pleasure of knowing, and I hope you had a great day.
B) As I told Emily yesterday, I won a Pride and Prejudice and Zombies prize pack from Quirk Books a few weeks ago. Here's what they sent me:
Clockwise from top left: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies audiobook, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: Dawn of the Dreadfuls, Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters audiobook, and a P&P&Z postcard book and journal
DotD is a fun read, though if you plan on checking it out, don't expect it to be written in an Austen-like style. It has Jane's characters, but it's definitely written like a modern action/adventure novel. One of my favorite bits:
"'Brains,' he's saying, Miss Bennet. Buh-rain-uhz. I know it because I hear the call, as well, though the plague hasn't fully taken me yet. It's really a rather delicious irony: It was your mind I was attracted to from the beginning. My longing's just growing a little too literal."
Anyway, I feel like this is such an embarrassment of riches, so I'm giving away the journal and postcard book. Angie, since you are such a zombie connoisseur, you have first dibs. If you want either one, let me know and it shall be yours. Consider it your late birthday present. :D
