lazy Sunday

I got an e-mail informing me that the Borders Express a few blocks from my house will be going out of business. I know, the world is not exactly suffering from a shortage of Borders stores, but this news saddens me nonetheless. This was the location where back in the day, back when it was still Waldenbooks, my mom would take me every Sunday to pick out a new book. I'd browse the shelves until something caught my eye, and then I'd get the okay to bring the book to the checkout counter, where an employee would place it in a bag and hand it back to me. I'm not going to lie: the end result would be me merrily skipping along with my new bounty hot in my hands. Anyway, needless to say, that tiny shop holds a lot of memories for me, and it's depressing to think that soon it will be no more. I'm also cringing at the thought of how the space will no doubt be later occupied by a store that carries buffalo plaid shirts and Ed Hardy paraphernalia. Ugh.

cambridge made me a lovely Sharp Teeth fanmix, AND SHE USED PICTURES OF ZOOEY AND JOE ON THE COVER. It's all so good, and I can't stop listening to it. Seriously, go check it out. Also, expect a fairly epic casting post sometime this week. There will be pictures of pretty people!

I'm attempting to paint my nails (I'm using Essie Mint Candy Apple, which oddly enough matches the color of my walls, so if I ever needed to camouflage myself, I'll know what to use), and while the nails on my left hand look pretty good, the ones on the right are utter crap. My left hand is so useless.

sharp teeth, in the life
