Adric wasn't quite sure what had happened himself.
One moment he was on board the freighter, clutching his brothers marsh belt to his chest as the Earth loomed closer, next he was somewhere else entirely. He didn't know where exactly, and for a moment he thought he was imagining things.
But if he wasn't... And he didn't seem to be, then he had no idea what could have happened. Just moments before death had seemed inevitable, and then all of a sudden he was just fine, no sign of crashing into a planet anywhere.
His confusion quickly faded into relief, followed moments later by panic and uncertainty. If he wasn't dead, then where was he? And what had happened to the freighter and Earth? How could he possibly have survived unscathed?
