Dream ♊ Canon Update
SPOILERS: end of Persona 3, begining of The Answer
Akihiko is suddenly in an empty gym. It's dim outside, the sun just rising. It would seem he's here quite early but from the looks of the sweat running down his face, he's been here for a while. With his knuckles taped, he aggressively assaults a punching bag, grunting and staining to continue.
His cellphone nearby rings, causing him to immediately stop and look over to the bench. He lets it ring for a moment before walking over and picking up his towel, wiping the sweat off of himself as the call goes to his voice mail.
The message starts to play automatically.
"Yo, senpai!" Junpei's voice rings out over Akihiko's cellphone. "It's our last day together as a team, you comin' back to the dorm tonight? Gimme a call."
And with that, the message ends. Short, simple and enough to make Akihiko's stomach knot up. It's only been a few weeks since graduation, a few short weeks since they'd learned just how much their leader had sacrificed for them.
He stares at his phone for a long time before sighing. "I can't believe he's gone still..." he murmurs to himself, a brief glimpse of Minato surfacing in his mind.
"After all that... I still wasn't strong enough."

[Akihiko wakes up with a gasp and looks around the room -- wait. This isn't his room. This isn't Port Island, this--]
W-what? I'm... [He brings a hand to his head] Was that all a dream? How long have I been...?
[None of this makes any sense to him, but there's a certain pang of emptiness he feels inside as he realizes that these new memories he finds himself with might not be a dream... But then another thought hits him; something almost more confusing than anything else.]
...What was Junpei doing calling me that early?!
(ooc: Akihiko's finally back, fresh from his canon update. He's now updated to right before the beginning of The Answer. Yes, this means I'm finally going to be posting crap again :V Hurrah.)
