SB 2.1 review... thing.
SENGOKU BASARA SEASON TWO EPISODE ONE
Hideyoshi has japan the world in his hands. Literally.
The episode was awesome overall. I had a stupid silly grin the whole time, then again I always look like this when doing anything SB related. Only deception would be the OP, but even then, it's just because nothing else will probably ever be able to compare to JAP. It's still a good opening, although it lacks the typical BASARA ENERGY. Other than that? We're already getting some Toshiie, Keiji, Motochika and Motonari. That alone makes me one happy girl.

aaaaaaaand here we have the big bad this time. Those who aren't familiar with him, here is Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the great unifiers of Japan (the other two being dead in the SB anime...) aka Monkey... Although he's more like a Gorilla in SB.
HANBEI, GORGEOUS HANBEI. He's so fab.
Naturally, everyone can hear Hanbei speaking.
The Takeda and Uesegi armies work together to attck Hideyoshi... BUT TO NO AVAIL as his fists repel all the arrows.
Hideyoshi pumps his fist and suddenly... LIGHT
Hanbei, pretty Hanbei. We didn't see his blood coughs nor his WHIPSWORD I am sad.
Hideyoshi is big.
KEIJI~ Hideyoshi and Keiji are (were?) TOMODACHI friends so Keiji is very disapointed.

Aaaand the OP starts. I love the beginning.
We see Keiji and the rivals; Masamune & Yukimura, Motochika & Motonari as well as Kenshin & Shingen.

Keiji is simply GORGEOUS in the opening.
Kenshin and Kasuga look so damn weird and... terrible in the anime. Makes me cry. STILL LOVE THEM THO

We got a lot of MotoMoto already, very exciting. They even get a lot of shots in the opening.

PRETTY HANBEI IS BACK, and we got about 10 seconds of this face.
Sadly we only heard the ED in the back, I guess we'll see it next time.
Overall, loved this episode, but now I'm expecting, much, much more for the rest of the season! I hope the subs'll be out soon, but SB isn't really hard to understand, especially if you already now the story. SO YEAH. You should watch it right now if you want to be like the cool kids.
