this morning i had understanding israel...or, the land of israel, as it's really called... or the land of canaan, palestine... so many names...
when i came out of israel, and walked outside - i noticed that it is not only warm out (yesyes, 32 degrees), but it is also sunny. this put me in an immediate good mood. i like today.
for some reason i no longer have the ability to fall asleep. therefore, i instead spend a good amount of time laying awake in my bed and thinking of random things that no one should think about that late at night.
What did i think about last night?
If my life had a soundtrack - what would it be?
I suppose that for the 7th-8th grade years, silly Junior High dance songs like chumbawamba and "kissing you" from romeo and juliet would serve as my soundtrack. ninth grade brought mxpx - the final slowdance, swingset girl, let it happen, do your feet hurt ... tenth grade was dido, "i want to thank you...for giving me the best day of my life..." ironic, but it held true. tenth grade also had reminants of "i'm a believer" because i think that's when shrek came out. eleventh grade was junior prom and "it's getting hot in here" and "go shorty..it's your birthday...we're gonna party like it's your birthday..." ... senior year was filled with "hey ma, what's up..." "oh my starry eyed surprise.." "...she'd do anything necessary for him and i'd do anything necessary for her so don't let the necessary occur" that eminem song - from 8mile... senior year was "just the way you are" ... freshman semester at oneonta was "hey ya" and florida was usher, maroon five, britney spears, and evanescence. and now is john mayer...but last night, laying in bed awake, was norah jones.
to amanda and tara - i just read your entries...and i'd like to say that i think from time to time, we all feel like that. in a sense. but, a good friend of mine has always told me, "your time will come". i believe him. and yours will come too.
last night i watched toy story - which is brilliant. buzz lightyear is a comedic genius. as is woody...so the two put together is a fantastic combination. the best part ever is when woody says "you are a TOY! a child's PLAY THING!" to which buzz responds "you are a sad, strange little man." ... it makes me happy.
today is screenwriting, where we'll read our screenplays for the first time. i'm excited to see what everyone else wrote, and irrationally nervous to have them read what i wrote. we'll see how it goes...
but now, i have to dry my hair...
hugs and smiles to you.
