One day on while on prefect duty in her fifth year Anthony warned her not to set her foot on the step marked with star, but Padma stumbled and soon found herself waist deep in the floor and quickly sinking by the moment. His arms were around her in a flash and he pulled her out in moments. It was at that moment that Padma discovered her heart beating a little faster around her flirtatious Housemate.
Luna was sitting on the bottom step leading up to the boys’ dormitories one evening as Anthony stepped down on his way to rendezvous with the sixth year who had scribbled the note on his hand while he was studying in the library earlier that day. He stopped and looked at the girl curiously and asked why she was sitting there of all places. She replied in a dreamy manner that some of the older boys had gotten a hold of her photo albums of Gertrude and that she would rather like them back. That evening the boys who took her photo albums found themselves with black eyes and the girl who scribbled the note to Anthony found herself alone in the classroom for half the night.
On a sunny day in March Padma sat under a tree with several younger students making daisy chains and explaining studying tips for the O.W.L. exams. Luna was among the group, though it would be giving her too much credit to say she was paying attention. When Padma asked what she was doing the younger girl explained she was watching the world spin and the sky fall. Laughing kindly the older girl offered Luna a crown of daisies and took it upon herself to teach her personally how to make one for herself.
Padma’s heart always beats a little faster as she avoids the step marked with the black star.
Anthony gladly abuses his status of prefect to go through the other boys’ belongings to ensure nothing has been stolen.
Luna keeps a dried out crown of daisies by her bedside at all times.
