Today was my first day back at work. It was pretty chill, and I was glad to be back in what I now think of as one of my favorite places.
On my way to work, I stopped at Starbucks. While this might seem scandalous (since I work at a coffee shop), it's not. We don't have passion tea lemonade! Anyway, when I pulled up to the drive thru, my friend Josh was all "Sup it's Sbux" and I was all "zomg!!1 Joshie poooooo!". Then we chatted it up, and I was late for work. Awesome.
So I worked. It was nice to be back in the game. I made chicken salad. One part chicken, a zillion parts mayo. Mmm. I found my energy level wasn't quite up to par. Typically, I clean and stay on top of the dishes. Today, I sat when I had time. I also had a time with the sweeping and mopping, and I couldn't slosh the coffee urns like I normally do. Weird.
After work, I went back to Sbux to see Josh. He was having a coffee tasting thing, so I stopped by. Alan joined me after, and then he and I went to dinner. Sharing a meal with Alan is always awesome. We always have something to talk about, and we spend a good part of the time laughing. Top notch.
I came home, and Levi had cleaned the kitchen! AND made pie!! I think I might be married to the perfect man. Hooray for that.
Now I'm cleaning up my iPod and my iTunes. Speaking of iThings, I went to MicroCenter this weekend, and fell in love. My friend Willard was telling me about his new 24 inch iMac, and I looked at one this weekend. I think I can handle all 24 inches. At once. Immediately. I'm probably going to have to wait. I want a pretty expensive digital SLR, and it's definitely higher up on my list than the new computer (especially since my laptop is so B.A., and not that old). But man. It is a gorgeous computer. I'm not one of those uber-crazies that is all OMG MAC IS BETTER THAN PC!! They're both acceptable. The new iMac is just really pretty, and I love the way it looks. This is a complete vanity issue. I also was able to play around with iPhoto, and I liked the ease of the software. It'll come in handy when I want to edit the pics I take with my digital SLR. After I save up the $1200 to buy it. =D
Now it's Bible study time. And then SLEEP. Hooray!
