ア・イ・タ・イ・ヨ
So yesterday was the last day of STEM......bittersweet ya know...
Even though it was Saturday it was because today was the final ceremony for STEM........I'm so happy that I met who I met and I'm happy to introduce them onto this blog <3
Well today we basically presented the projects we've all done over the summer showing off what we all learned.
We had to present in front of a camera too which was kind of nerve racking at times I guess.
Then next was the acutal ceremony.....so there were some speeches by Maura, Erin (congratz again XD), Dr. C and then students!
I missed Erin so much like she wasn't here this summer because she was on materinty leave so we missed her so much. I liked Dr. C's speech...it was pretty nice to hear but like thinking about level 4 entirely during it made me sad, because he addressed part of it to us saying how we should be smiling because of the times we've had together.
Then the student speeches.....they were all pretty good but JOSHUA! I loved his speech so much, I read his draft before it but like obviously he was nervous but I still liked it. In the end, everyone was standing for him while clapping. Chris and I wanted to but we were kind of nervous about it, so when Grant did it, we saw people slowly started to stand up so we joined it.
Then there was Grant's speech....I liked it a lot when he mentioned us in Level 4. I liked his speech in general too, saying he was glad that we had made his teaching experince at STEM fun. Then there was presenting the certificates and 2 special awards...Top Academic Achiever and Most Improved. So each level went up starting from Level 1 to all the way in Level 4.
For Level 4 (my level) they gave us each a present.....a STEM photo frame with a picture of STEM (I was kind of hoping it was a picture of Level 4 but oh wells) after they gave the Certifcate for finishing the program.....The Top Academic Achiever went to me and Flora in a tie...I knew Flora was going to get it but I was surprised that I got it....they gave us a book as a present. What makes the book special is the messages that Grant and Jared wrote in it ;D Then the Most Improved went to Taylese who wasn't even there.
After that was more speeches...by Shawna and Eric :D.....I actually liked Shawna's which is a bit unusual because hers are so long and boring but his time since she directed part of it to us in Level 4 I was happy and was proud in a sense. Then Eric's speech....of course he mentioned us in Level 4 because 2 summers ago he was some of our Physics TA alongside Jeff :D I liked the way he ended the ceremony........but of course that wasnt the end of it.....

Because Trey (I think that's how you spell his name) forgot his Pogo stick there were only 3 performances.
1) Chinese Yo-yo by Xin
2) Martial Arts by Raina
and my personal favorite:
3) Dance by my friends in Level 4 :D
In another post I'll put the videos up but the vids....won't be THAT big so it might be better to go and watch it on youtube......
But the part that got to me the most was the ending.......where the song Graduation (Friends Forever) by Vitamin C played
I knew that Coral, Kayla and Lizzy were going to play it but I ended up crying so much...I can't get myself to listen to the song now without crying either D;

Then after that, the ceremony ended.....I tried to hug as many of my friends as I could and take as many pictures as I could but after hugging Eric, my tears came back so my eyes were like red in many of the pics after it....
I love my STEM family so much <3 and I'll miss them forever.........we all better stay in touch <3
