A quick update before bed...Moog!
So, in case you didn't know...I am not dying of an unnamed illness like I may have told Inakaya. I am actually in Texas with Kathryn. Sshh..don't tell them. I WAS sick...that wasn't a lie.
I am typing from DAVE'S!!! laptop in San Antonio. On that note, let me tell you some reasons I missed Dave:
Dave loves watching and commenting on American Idol.
Dave loves Christopher Walken.
Dave sings.
Dave loves technology and tv.
Puns. Oh yes, there are puns.
Anyway, I had a nice time in Houston at Kathryn's Aunt's house. Her family treated us to dinner every night. I ate so much!! Thai, Argentenian, Tex-Mex, and Sashimi....
I have five new lbs to prove it according to Dave's scale. Houston isn't such a bad city...as long as you stay in the good parts and don't get lost in the factory towns and smog. There are lots of activities. We went to the rodeo and Kathryn got a cute cowboy hat.
We drove through Austin but didn't really want to do anything there so we went on to San Marcos and stayed the night. We ate at a Carinos in honor of Marie. The next day we went shopping.I bought some t-shirts and a cute but totally Japan/bicycle-friendly pair of black shoes.
Now we are at Dave's!!!! We watched American Idol and played a little DS. Yay! Tomorrow Kathryn and I will do some touristy stuff while he is at work and hopefully some fun and karaoke will come in the next couple days.

Oh, and since I wrote an LJ post about it but afterward made it private.....in case you missed it!
I have a JOB in Japan! The little cutie school in Gifu prefecture, Tajimi City has offered me a position which I will most likely be accepting. It means I will be living in Japan starting the first week of June.
If for some reason that falls through or I change my mind...(and it could happen) NOVA offered me a job so I went ahead and sent them the background check info. blah blah.
So, the plan for living in Japan will work in two ways.
A) I move to Tajimi in June and work for several months to a year.
or
B) I move in August to god knows where in Japan with Nova, work for 1-2 months and relocate to Kochi with Eric and Visi
It's kind of strange the way things ultimately work out... I'll try to keep interested parties updated.
