8. Johnno by David Malouf: a coming-of-age story, I guess, set in my hometown a good 40 years before it was my hometown. I have a hard time reading Australian authors, the rhythms just don't suit me, but this wasn't too bad - I did manage to finish it :) The story concerns two boyhood friends, their relationship over about 2 decades and how they deal with the changing world around them.
Next up: Vengeance by George Jonas (the book "Munich" was based on)
