That is a really good quote for today. I keep feeling like I'm almost ready to go to college, I'm almost done shopping, everything is finally coming together... and then I realize it's not. Huh.
On the topic of shopping... while I was never a big shopper to begin with, I now detest said activity even more. I'm so sick of picking stuff out. My mom was having my pick out some sort of fabric softener sheets ("because you aren't going to want the liquid kind..." what?) she asks me to smell the boxes to see which one smells the best. I did, for her sake, but while I was standing there in the laundry detergent aisle at Target smelling cardboard I was inwardly shaking my head. "Well mom," I thought, "There are several things wrong with this senario. First, I really don't care how my fabric softener smells. Alli is the one who notices when you switch soap and stuff like that. Second, don't they all kind of smell like fabric softener anyway? And third, I can't really smell anything due to a cold I've had for a while now. But whatever floats your boat."
And then there is the whole thing where buying stuff entails spending money, of which there is a severe lack. You see, Mom and Dad are already cringing at the thought of college payments, and so am I. So that leaves exactly zero people who are willing to spend money, which means that we run crazily from store to store to look and see who has what for the least amount of money. I think I now dislike money as well as shopping.
But, on a lighter note, I only have two and a half weeks left. I wish it were less, but it's not. I'll just have to deal with it. More later.
