NEW BEDFORD, Mass. --Bob Perry was "elated" to hear that the teenager who allegedly hacked him with a hatchet and then shot him at a bar was apprehended in Arkansas on Saturday.
But his joy came with a price. Two people, including a police officer, were killed in the process.
Jacob D. Robida, 18, was critically wounded in the shootout 1,500 miles from Puzzles Lounge in the small town of Norfork, Ark.
"Right now I'd like him to be able to regain consciousness and answer some questions," Perry said at the bar where Robida allegedly opened fire and attacked patrons with a hatchet early Thursday morning.
New Bedford Mayor Scott Lang walked into Puzzles on Saturday night to announce that Robida was caught.
