Doctor Who - Day of the Moon

Oooooooh! So much happened! Although the questions the episode posed were almost more interesting than the episode itself.

So, River kissed the Doctor at the end and for him it was the first time but clearly she thought it wasn't.  The little girl is a timelady.  Is she the Doctor?  Then Doctor would have killed himself thus setting up a time paradox and so the timeline changes from how River knew it.  This would mean that the Doctor would have to change sex... Hmmm.  I really don't like the idea of tiny timechild wandering about, it wouldn't be half as fun if the tardis team had to look after a child as well.

The photos in the nursery seem to suggest the little girl is Amy's child from the future.  Who was the lady who appeared in the hatch of the door but then vanished when Amy went into the room?  I really want to know!  Actually the whole orphanage building section reminded me slightly of the Silent Hill film.  The mysterious vanishing lady particularly reminded me of the nurse who looks after the evil child.

Amy is having a kind of Schrodinger's Cat pregnancy according to the Doctor's scan.  When she was talking to the Doctor about why she told him and not Rory about the pregnancy and she said "Well we've been travelling in the Tardis for so long" I honestly thought "Oh my gosh!  Amy and the Doctor!" but no, there was no secret hooking up.  Amy was just worried about complications with the baby.

My final thought is how does River keep breakng out of prison?  Does she use the sonic screwdriver?  If she keeps breaking out you'd think they'd take all her stuff away from her.  I don't think the prison wardens are doing their job properly.

I'm really excited about the next episode though.  You can build up more suspense with two-parter episodes but the single episodes are so much more fun!  Plus the next one has pirates and mermaids/sirens.  Extra fun!  I must confess I often don't watch the final episodes of Doctor Who series because of the lack of fun...Give me more fun please!  Less seriousness and worrying!
