» What makes your character uncomfortable?:
What DOESN'T make Vaan uncomfortable is probably the better question for Vaan, he's very easily riled and uneased. From a non-sexual aspect he likes being closed off and a longer. He doesn't like people knowing about him or that he doesn't like explaining himself. He likes to take care of himself, to an almost annoying degree. Whether it be with his own well being or the collars, he likes taking care of his own problems and he should be the one to figure them out himself.
He hates opening up to people and only does so when necessary. Its a gradual process being Vaan's friend nor is it an easy one. He's particularly frustrated with the recent curse and how his secrets were brought to the surface, now he has problems facing Esther and Tatsuki because they saw who he really was. Vaan is used to being closed off and not revealing himself, so having to that, and explain who he is and his past, scares him greatly.
In particular, Vaan doesn't usually tell people when he's hurt or suffering, hence why he waits so long to get his collar loosened, and even when he does its rather reluctantly. Any situation where his collar has been loosened its been forced to the point where Vaan either has to or has no control of himself.
Another aspect that Vaan doesn't like is not being in control. One of his biggest issues is that he's stuck here forced to comply with Atia. He wants to change his fate both in Gaia and in Atia, by making things right no matter what. Same thing goes with his own emotions, he flies off the handle easily, and normally he wouldn't mind anger, but he knows what he's feeling. Its when those emotions and feelings are uncertain that really bothers Vaan. He doesn't feel really comfortable with sexual desire and arousal. He likes being control of his emotions, and particularly with Tatsuki, he didn't like the fact that his desire forced him to do what he did. He hates Atia even more because she forces him not only to have sex but to feel these things, and he hates anything that controls his fate.
