This weekend, I read The Truth About Conservative Christians. It was a nifty book, actually. Pretty data heavy with lots of graphs, statistics, and whatnot.
But I recommend it, regardless, as a liberal American. It reinforces ideas such as Conservative Christians (Not to be confused with Catholics or African American Protestants) being more willing to sacrifice civil liberties than other denominations. But it also debunks a lot of stereotypes, like Conservative Christians being uneducated. It really is a book more focused on discovering problems rooted in class and weath (which Conservative Christians tend to have more of) and how it's effecting elections and whatnot.
My copy of the book is all highlighted and bookmarked with stickies, it's kinda crazy looking.
