St. Binah

The God Generals destination was a ragged dock near Rotelro Bridge, long abandoned since the actual construction of the bridge to connect the two continents. The only place to restock low supplies was in Engeve, a fair distance away from their current locale. If he recalled the arrangement of Malkuth provinces corrected, it bordered far to the east ( Read more... )

((ooc: migrating to here since Cantabile hadn't actually left when you guys arrived, so there's a chance of finding her, though not a large one, and well Cantabile can't resist a bit of amusement at Legretta's expense while accomplishing what she needs to))

Cantabile finished up her meal and now she felt ready for anything, including the trek to Engeve and whatever Asch or anyone else may have in store for her.

She was about to pay for her meal and depart when she overheard something most interesting. She heard some of the citizens entering grumbling about "three more of them" arriving and now there were even monsters in the city.

That meant Arietta was here, and most likely with Largo and Legretta. Looks like her estimation was a bit off on where they would go and now she was stuck with few options to get to her next goal.

She knew she wouldn't have any problem leaving even if Oracle Knights were guarding the entrance, they wouldn't stop a God-General from leaving on orders from the Commandant himself. However, that could cause problems for her and would definitely alert the other three and she didn't exactly want to waste time with them.

And exiting without them detecting her was a challenge she was up to, especially if there was a way she could make Legretta look foolish in the process. The Fon Master wasn't here, that much she knew already. It was foolish of them to waste their efforts here. Leaving a few men to ensure the Fon Master couldn't get past here was fine and made sense. What they were doing would only upset the citizens and make them less likely to comply, and this wasn't going to stop one with the intelligence of Jade the Necromancer if he was indeed the one behind the Fon Master's disappearance.

She paid for the meal and left a nice tip with her request for silence on her having been here. She then asked if there was any other place where the wall was lower besides the inn. She was given the information she needed and then she left. Her wallet was quite a bit lighter than it had been previously, but it wasn't a big deal, she usually had much more than she needed anyhow.

The first thing she did was to find a place out of sight where she could write what would make this the most amusing. She knew that even among Legretta and Largo's men that most were lazy and wouldn't look too hard if she wasn't in plain sight.

She wrote a quick message that would leave no mistake as to who it was from if Legretta actually read it. Addressing it to "Legretta the Slow" would do that if the words and handwriting did not, since she was the only one who had the nerve to call the woman that. The message simply advised that if Legretta wanted to do her job well, she had better cover all potential entrances and exits, not just the obvious one.

She then folded up the message in the way she recalled Dist having done, basically in a way to give it wings to glide through the air like a bird. It wasn't as good as she remembered the eccentric God-General doing it, but it would serve its purpose.

She then looked around for a likely target for delivery and didn't have to look too hard, she found an Oracle Knight who had obviously been too lazy to find her and was walking away from where she was going and only a short distance away. She aimed towards him and threw the message so that it would land in front of him. Chances were he would look there first and then look behind him. By then she would be out of sight. The idea was that it would serve as a distraction and amusement. It was certain to be delivered to Legretta, but by the time the other female read it, she would be on her way to Engeve.

She didn't wait to see if the Knight picked it up, she only made sure he didn't turn towards her before she silently took off in the direction of the place where she could make good her exit from the city.

And she knew Legretta would be irate when she read that message. This now made two times in a matter of days that she was outsmarted by the supposed traitor. But if Cantabile wanted to find the Fon Master and replica first, she had to exit without them knowing, and Asch needed a chance to act without them knowing what he was up to.

It wasn’t like that, but it didn’t seem she would want to explain herself, anyhow. With the two Oracle Soldiers following her as she moved about, the woman pondered on about what might happen, and what will happen. She wasn’t one to make obvious approaches, and it was a careless thing to allow Oracle Knights to be seen out in the open. Things like this was bound to draw trouble from unwanted attention. She was keeping a good eye out for anyone, really. Confrontation might be the best idea yet. There were many reasons why she didn't want to do this, but it was too late for that. The Oracle Knights, each were dispatched to Enegeve and St. Binah. She would be heading over ot Engeve soon enough.

Of course, after the first incident, she wasn't about to let anyone, or anything slip past her eyes. She was making sure she had her group of Oracle Knights watching out for anyone. She would not want to be interfered with once more. Though, exposing a traitor among the God-Generals was a hard task, something she didn't want to result to, unless it was absolutely necessary. The Blond continued to looked about St. Binah, without much thought on who to ask, or where to ask. She was sure if she described the Fon Master, that there would bound to be someone that knew of his presence here, or anywhere else in this Malkuth region. It wasn't everyday you see a boy with green hair dressed as a Fon Master Running around, so she assumed that much at least. She split up with Largo and went another ways of St. Binah. She was simply not in a good enough mood to be questioning people, but she wasn't so sour as to point a gun at them and demand an answer either. The two Oracle Knights that followed her faintly trailed behind her as she walked. There were some people here, she saw, but it seemed they were unable to meet with the Governor of this small Town. It wasn't much help since, if anyone, the Field Marshall, would be able to tell them something, but then again, maybe not.

After questioning one or two of the citizens, she found it foolish that there was nothing to stay here for. They didn't need to be here, just as she assumed, and that if they were at Engeve, now, everything would go much smoother, but it was too late for that now. With a delayed option and path, the woman made her way to the exit of the town. Largo had his ways to deal with things, and so she was making sure everything else was being covered. After all, she wasn't the one that gave orders to secure the place, but if they were going to do it anyway, she assumed that half assed job was not the right thing to do. So she had found a few more Oracle Knights and directed them towards other areas, but it was inevitable, since Cantabile was already long gone from her view, and not even a faint trace from her was seen at the moment. She forgot to mention about that, but these Oracle Knights, she knew, some of them were quite lazy and irritating. Soon enough, there was a freaked out soldier running in her direction, the metal of his armour clunk loudly as it did, while his uneven steps made their way towards her.

The knight had been hit over the head with that message, causing him to exactly what Cantabile had imagined. In truth, it must have been a funny scene, but the Soldier was not happy, rather now, he sported a faint dent in his helmet and a panicked expression underneath his helmet, he dare not take his helmet off on fear of being hit again.

"Majour, I found this," he replied, "or rather... it hit me," he mused, and didn't explain anything else. It was obvious he did not get to see who it was that chucked the message at him. She took a hold of the paper and looked at it, reading it fully, with a rather annoyed, but she was still grim to the appearance of the soldier, but her face was unchanged. Though, inside, she was certainly gritting her teeth and surely finding this girl, as well as locking her up would do, at least keep her near so that her trouble does not go overboard. Legretta was not pleased, and it was not right for a God-General to behave this way, but it was inevitable as well as she wondered what Van had seen in this girl, this possible traitor, that allowed her to be among the group. She still had no answers to that.

"Very well, then, secure all possible exits to town, every little crack as well as entrances, and anything suspicious. Make sure that no one will get out, without a possible glance of face and name memorized," she told the soldier and between those words, she obviously meant no lazing around. She would kill them if they did, but the woman was calm enough not to at the moment. The Oracle Knight saluted the God-General and vanished from her view. She would have to speak to Largo, now, and hurry to Engeve, where the possible replenishing of supplies would do as well as search Engeve. If she found no one, then that means they either dispersed, or they were not here, yet. She already knew who was here, and that already toiled with her little patience even more. With a breath from her lips, the Majour started back to find Largo, and arrange something that will be more secured to handle, then this. How could they even let a God-General get away so easily? Some of these Knights were not very helpful. Though, she would have do with them for now.

The soldier was quite fast, though, she assumed Cantabile won't be far from St. Binah. The woman would seek that out pretty quickly, and would make her strides much bigger. She had to get to Largo and they would have to head towards Engeve, that was the plan now, since it seemed it was already figured out, if the girl got there first, then there would be trouble, and their plans would be slightly or mostly ruined. The ambush would be useless, and another mission rendered useless. She would not accept defeat, this time, she would be careful, and sly, as she should have been, not made a fool of.

OOC: That's fine XD I really want to see the encounter with Cantabile and Legretta XD. And yeah >>;

“I presume you’re ready to depart?” An assumption well formulated upon witnessing Legretta’s hasty approach from behind. He did not think it necessary to question the sour look plastered across her face. If it had any relevance to their plight with the missing Fon Master, she would have articulated the concern the instant she arrived at his side. The fact that she kept the supposedly undesirable information to herself meant it must be personal in nature, nothing he cared to know.

“Arietta!” He turned to acknowledge the little God General, finding her no where in the vicinity. She continued to traverse the town at her own lazy pace, it seemed. Largo would have been interested in finding out if she had any luck uncovering what knowledge the people withheld from them, though he doubted it would bare any real significance to the object of their pursuit.

“One of you Oracle Knights take time to seek out Arietta. Tell her to set up a post here with you until such time as she receives word from either me, Legretta or one of the other Generals. I would suggest keeping an eye out for Asch. I’m certain he will be arriving soon.” If he wasn’t there already. It mattered not what orders Van had given him, he would undoubtedly do the exact opposite. Which meant, he could be yet another obstacle for them to deal with. What else was new?

“Let’s move on to Engeve, Legretta. The Fon Master is quite obviously not here. Perhaps we will have more luck there.”

(OOC: Settle down, ladies. We have bigger fish to fry.)

As they all arrived at St. Binah, Arietta was just sort of wandering through the premises while following behind. Even though she was supposed to be concentrating on the situation, it was hard to accomplish that since her worries of Ion inevitably prevented her from thinking about anything that would help her rescue him.

While the Fon Master was going through her head as if it was her source of life, it came to her that she wasn't where she was supposed to be, wherever that was. Even though the city wasn't too big, she still had a hard time getting around. While glancing back at her liger companion, she decided to got that way, seeing as how the others' scent was in that direction. After a while, some Oracle Knight person approached her and gave some information about what she was supposed to do. Those knight people always seemed so nervous around her, probably since she was of such higher status while being a small girl that could talk to animals. It wasn't any of the pink-haired girl's business though, as she couldn't care less. It was relieving though, that she managed to be informed of what her task was at the moment.

She should probably start heading out to where she was supposed to be...it wouldn't be good if someone got mad at her for messing up or something. Ion would be ashamed! At the thought, she ran off to her post, the liger following closely behind.

Upon her arrival at the place, she took a moment to wonder what everyone else had gone off to do. She was a God General, so she had the right to know! Though it wasn't like she had to know or anything...so maybe she should just do as she was told and wait for new instructions. It was hard to do things on her own, since Arietta had never been the leader type.

[ooc: Sorry for checking in so late, since I've had lots of homework lately...I'll just have Arietta sneak into the post here~! *A*]

The larger God-General seemed to be aware of the situation much more then she had expected, but then again, that was expected of most the God-Generals, so she nodded her head as she approached the other, though she still kept that rather grim look on her face, slightly shadowed with a dark aura in it. Obviously something was bothering her, but hse wasn't going straight to an explanation. She would answer his question first, then explain the situation as well as she was prepared to hand him the message that was left for her, by her obvious suspect, though there was probably no names on them or anything at all. She didn't wnat to bring her personal problems, into the situation, though it was never too late to be cautious a bit.

"Yes, we depart, right after we find Arietta. The sooner we approach Engeven, the better," the woman replied in a stern tone as she was looking around for the other God-General. the smaller girl, with the pink hair, but it seemed Arietta was no where to be seen. She assumed the girl was still going around asking people, with her monsters. Legretta didn't have a lot of time to completely run after the girl, so she decided to address to an Oracle Knight to tell the girl to stay there for the time being. She glanced about for a few more brief seconds, before the woman started to walk towards the enterance of St. Binah to leave through there. She would mention the letter to Largo, hen she found it the correct time. AT the moment she wanted to focus on finding the Fon Master, and heading off to Engeve. Legretta caught a glimpse of the pink mane of the other girl, and then switched her direction to head towards Arietta, giving last minute insturctions.

She would head off from there, but first, she had to speak to Arietta. She wanted to make sure that no mistakes would be present. She was obviously done being made a fool of by the other God-General. Whatever their reasons for disliking each other, Legretta knew little of it, but was aware that Cantabile was indeed a person not to be trusted, that was all.

OOC: LOL XDD I'm just excited meehh X3. It's okay. better late the never, ne?XDDD; hope that makes sense>>

"We've no time to dawdle.” Largo placed a large, calloused hand down on Legretta’s shoulder, steering her attention to him once more. The Fon Master slipped farther from their grasp the longer they remained stationary. Best to mobilize their brigade hastily.

“Legretta, proceed to Engeve on your own. I shall join you soon after issuing Arietta her orders.” Quite obviously, the female God General preferred to give the youngster her instructions directly, rather than relying on their underlings to deliver the message themselves. That way they could prevent their words from being skewed in any way.

“Arietta.” Largo shifted his line of sight to the girl, who stood ready to receive her next duty, all personal feelings for the Fon Master aside.

“Legretta and I have come to the conclusion that it would be best to station you here in St. Binah for the time being. Do what you need to do to make sure all possible entrances and exits are being closely monitored for any sign of the enemy we chase. Upon arrival of Sync or Dist, you may transfer the task unto one of them and follow us in the direction of Engeve. Will you be all right on your own, until then?”

When standing at her post, Arietta noticed the large figure of Largo approaching her. After hearing the new task which he was telling her, a few quick thoughts passed through her mind. If she stayed here, would she still be able to see Ion? Thinking for a second, the young God General decided that she could probably handle staying here and watching for if Ion came into the area, and if she didn't see him, she could always dump the job onto the next God General she saw.

"Um, alright. I'll be fine.." Her words were somewhat muttered, since she would rather just run after whatever lead she could find to get to Ion. This was for the bust though! She told herself those words a few times and started glancing in all directions. The Fon Master might come by St. Binah at some point, though it didn't seem very likely...Anyhow, she had a mission and she was supposed to do it! It sure was a lot of work, being a God General and all...

[ooc: It seems like Ion's the only thing that goes through Arietta's mind!! I sure hope that's IC...]

Largo laughed, mistakenly interpreting the hesitation he sensed in the tone of her voice as disappointment. One as wild and free as Arietta had trouble being restrained to one location for long. She was best on the run, alongside the creatures she commanded. Alas, times called for other arrangements, however temporary they might be.

“We will send word as soon as we settle into Engeve.” He left that with her, inspiring a hope that new orders for her might arrive that soon as well. She only needed to be patient for a while longer.

“Be sure to take note of any development you observe here, no matter how insignificant it might seem. I want to know everyone who was involved in this charade.” He turned on his heels, his massive stride carrying him toward the entrance.

(OOC: It certainly is. You're doing a great job!)

The woman nodded to him when he told her to go on ahead. If he wanted to take care of the situation himself, she would allow it, since Engeve was much more important at the moment, "Very well, then," she mused as she proceeded to turn back towards the exit of the town. Largo knew what was the more important and she respected him for it. The woman continued to walk in that same direction, as she spoke her last words to him, I shall leave Arietta to you then," she mused with her last words, she went back to her though, leaving St. Binah behind her, and two Oracle soldiers at the front. She gave one of them an order to secure the premise a bit more, and block out the rest of the St. Binah, and the other to watch the main opening, for the fact that anyone could come in or out. She had to confront the Sixth Division Commander, and she had to do it soon, even if it was intervening with her plans.

Though, she was certain along the path, she would run into Cantabile, but she knew that she was going to have to get to Engeve first without confrontations, but securing the Sixth Division commander, who might be a possible traitor was also important, or else, she would be interfering in her plans and it would be hard to accomplish. It seemed as though, Cantabile was always seeking ways to embarrass her as much as possible, but she was not going to allow that to keep happening. She wouldn't kill the Sixth Division commander, but at some point, she would have to take Cantabile in her custody, and under her watchful eye, without escape, but she had to find the right moment to do so. For now, it was hard to prove that she was the one behind a lot of this, but she was the only one that wasn't too tied to the God-Generals.

ooc: yes you are doing a good jobx3
