Need a YA to read your YA?
Do the teens in your book say, "Buzz off"? Do they use terminology from your adolescence, not today's adolescence? Do they swear too much or not enough? Do they have real teen attitudes, wardrobes, and experiences or are they caricatures of what you remember of your teen years? Don't have a teen handy to vet your writing. Well, I'll lend you mine.
My fourteen-year-old daughter will read your manuscript and edit it for realistic teen attitudes, language, grammar, and believability. First ten pages are free as a sample of her work, including a brief evaluation of the level of editing needed. After that, we can negotiate cost per hour or page. She did my manuscript and really made it shine, so I thought this would be a great way for her to make some summer money and help all my YA writing friends.
