Last night I had to present the Learning Team assignment to the class. WOW! What a fiasco! I'd arrived without receiving information from one of the team members and knew I'd have to create on the spot. What I didn't realize was that I'd misinterpreted the assignment and arrived without the team summary! WHAT A SINKING FEELING! I knew that ( Read more... )

I guess learning teams are considered the way to go now, and there are real down sides. I can seem some benefit in that it forces you to work with frustrating people which you'll have to do when you get a job! But then, you've already experienced that, I'. sure!
Jayme, I'm a little stumped (sp?) too. I'm just hoping I can get them (her) to produce the work earlier so we can review it before the deadline. So far, I've had to be the initiator, motivator and quality control in nearly all of my teams. I'm just trying to do it without offending anyone. It's really hard!
Occassionally, I've run into someone who appreciates it and gets better - either their product improves or they become more reliable (once out of sheer guilt!).
Knowing you, your product is top notch, and well worth your team's support. Just remember that!!!!
Tried to post a reply to your journal but was refused. 'Not on your friend's list. Just wanted to say WOW! What great headshots. It's fun hearing about your acting exploits, Jayme. Takes me back. I have a friend down here who's the head lighting guy at Pioneer Memorial Theatre (the main U of U theatre). He's the lighting professor there. I'm hoping to sit with him in the booth to watch another show which is starring another old classmate friend. It's kinda' exciting. Maybe when I get through this schooling I can play around on stage a little again!
You know I wish you the best! You deserve it. Be careful, though, kiddo. I think you turned out tooooo beautiful. It's a dangerous world!
