I have new found respect for Micheal Gambon. I mean, I always knew he's meant to be a good actor etc but, man, it was not until I was watching Top Gear (it's amazing what lengths you will go to to avoid studying for exams) that I truly realised how respect-worthy that man really is.
Apparently Gambon is well-known for making up stuff in his interviews and once when he was being interviewed by probably the thickest person alive, the said interviewer asked:
'Was it difficult playing a homosexual?' (Gambon played Oscar Wilde)
Gambon was a bit miffed at this and replied, 'No, because I used to be a homosexual'
Interviewer: 'How come you aren't anymore?'
Gambon: 'I was forced to give it up.'
Interviewer: 'Why?'
Gambon: 'It made my eyes water.'
Apparently, the interviewer did not laugh at this point but in all seriousness wrote it down. Do not tell me you don't have respect for Micheal Gambon.
